How to make friendship bracelets

For those feeling crafty, making friendship bracelets can be a fun, easy way to go about participating in the popular activity. While you can certainly run to your local craft store if you’re a procrastinator like me, ordering a kit is a great way to collect all the materials you need in a snap. What you'll need:

Steps:

• Measure your elastic string by looping it around your wrist. The tightest you’ll want it is gently touching skin all the way around, but looser can be easier for swapping. Just be sure it won’t slide off easily.
  
• Add a smaller extra amount that you will use to tie the bracelet with (length will vary depending on how easily you can tie small things).

• Slide the beads onto the string in your desired order. Make sure that your letters are facing the correct direction–right side up and reading left to right.
  
• Have someone help you tie the bracelet onto your wrist, loose enough that you can easily get it off but tight enough that it won’t fly off. Double knot the string for a tighter hold.
